The National Museum of Air and Space

The inspirational front door to support the most monumental change in the history of the National Air and Space Museum as part of the Ignite Tomorrow campaign. After pitching three different concepts to a group of Smithsonian stakeholders, the "Be the Spark" concept rose to the top. The experience was crafted around the idea of limitless wonder and imagination through the eyes of a child, and how each iconic artifact in the museum has the potential to spark curiosity and fuel imagination.

"The first person who will set foot on Mars is now in middle school." "She may be visiting The Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum today. Perhaps a specific artifact or exhibit will spark a passion for air and space, as it has for countless pilots and researchers and visionaries."

The microsite takes the user on a journey from earth to space through a narrative of iconic objects like the Wright Flyer and how a person's imagination changed the path of history and lives on forever. Goals of the microsite were to inspire current donors and members to increase their level of giving, inspire prospects to give for the first time, facilitate easy access to the donation form, and support campaign awareness.
